What would you have seen?

Sorry if this has been done already, but I don't think it has.
If you could go back in time and see one show again that is either not on Broadway anymore or has a different cast, what would you see? I would see the OBC of Rent. I'm so sad I missed that!

Think outside the 90s, guys. re: What would you have seen?

I would have liked to see the OBCs of:
Gypsy
Follies
Dreamgirls
Cabaret
Company
Sweeney Todd
Song and Dance
Sunday in the Park With George
My Fair Lady
Oklahoma!

Oh, and the 1998 London revival of Oklahoma!, just because of the guy playing Curly. :)

re: What would you have seen?

Shoot, I didn't even think of plays for some reason. Uh, start with A Streetcar Named Desire and work from there. Or maybe I'll just take millie's answer, though it sounds pretty tiring. :)

"Because what is more like love than the ocean? You can play in it, drown in it. It can be clear and bright enough to hurt your eyes, or covered in fog; hidden behind a curve of road, and then suddenly there in full glory. Its waves come like breaths, in and out, in and out, body stretched to forever in its possibilities, and yet its heart lies deep, not fully knowable, inconceivably majestic."

re: What would you have seen?

PETER PAN with Mary Martin.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
