Hi all,
I want to be very careful and upfront here because I represent a London-based theatre website but I'm genuinely not wanting to advertise here.
I'm wondering what you guys would find more compelling as a prize in an online contest - vouchers for a booking site (such as broadway.com or Telecharge) or tickets to a top Broadway show. Is there one you are more likely to enter?
Would love to hear what you guys think. Thanks!

As long as I'd be free to choose my own date, I don't think I'd care. I think it FEELS more special to win the tickets for a specific show, however.

When you say a "top Broadway show" do you mean a specific one, or one of the winner's choosing?
If it's any show of the winner's choosing, then I guess I'd prefer that over a voucher, since a voucher to Telecharge would limit me to Telecharge shows.
But if you mean a specific show that's decided upon ahead of time, then I'm less likely to enter. I would need to know that it's a show I haven't already seen, or that I'd have a choice of shows.
Also, as a slight sidenote, I would discourage against Broadway.com, as they charge ludicrously high fees, to the point where I basically consider it a scam ticketing service. If I already had a voucher from Broadway.com I would, of course, put it to use. But if I could choose between a voucher to Broadway.com vs. a voucher to Telecharge, Ticketmaster, or even TodayTix, I'd choose any of the others.

Definitely a voucher, preferably for Telecharge or Ticketmaster, mainly because I tend to buy early and would likely already have tickets for a specific show, or would have seen it already. I think tickets for a particular show are a good prize for people who don't go to the theatre very often.

Definitely a voucher for Telecharge, Ticketmaster, or TodayTix. The flexibility is nice and, if for some reason something else catches the winner’s eye on Ticketmaster (like a concert), they can use it on that

I would be fine with either. But I would like to know the value of my prize when entering the contest. Especially for a ticket prize. If the total value of the prize is $100, then I know the seats are going to be partial view or awful. But if the total value of the prize is $500, then the tickets should be full view somewhere.
But I do like the voucher idea. So that you can pick your own show, and a date/ time that works for you. Maybe let the winner pick where the voucher comes from so the winner isn't limited to just Ticketmaster shows or just Telecharge shows.

Depends on a couple of variables. When I look at the raffles that TDF periodically runs, they almost always offer tickets to shows that I've either already seen, or have no interest in seeing. (And the winner can't pick which show they would prefer.) That would lead me to answer that I would prefer a voucher to be used for the show/date/time/seat location that I select myself, subject to the price limit of the voucher. However, if your connections enable you to offer me great house seats that might otherwise be beyond the price range of the voucher, for a show that I really want to see, then that would be preferable.

I'd like the idea of a voucher, but if the service fees basically negates the value of the voucher, I'd probably want tickets.
