I can't imagine RENT plays terribly well abroad. It's a bit of an American phenomenon.

If I had to choose one of his overrated and repetitive scores it would have to be JCS. Other than that, what is the point other than a good laugh. Phantom has cool sets and tech, but that wasnt Webber. And Cats? I SERIOUSLY believe he was high when he wrote that.
Well, but if repetitive is the issue, there's nothing worse than Les Miz. They composed five songs which repeat over and over between transitional music...

It's hard to pick a favorite Andrew Llyod Webber since I don't really like any of his work (actually just the other day I ran across a "Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber CD" and laughed my head off that someone could actually make an Andrew Lloyd Webber CD and attach the word 'best' to it, I thought that was impossible). If I had to choose though, I would have to say Evita was tolerable enough and then Phantom.
Elyse. No day but Today.

The 1977 JCS revival only lasted three months, the 2000 JCS revival lasted just over 5 months and the 1994 Joseph revival ran just over 6 months.
Aspects ran almost a year.

LondonBoy - you're certainly entitled to hate Rent, but don't defend Cats without having actually SEEN the show (actually, same goes for hating Rent). Cats is a very pretty spectecale...but so is the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show. There is no plot whatsoever. There are one or two decent songs, yes, but the overall show leaves me with the feeling of having just thrown a ton of money down the disposal just to see the wonder of it being shredded.
Evita, followed by Sunset Boulevard. I think Cats and Phantom are two of the most overrated shows ever, and I can't stand either one of them. Not a fan of Jesus Christ Superstar or Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I'm agnostic, so that might have something to do with it, but I just don't really like the scores. By Jeeves is okay I guess. Aspects of Love is so-so. Same with Song and Dance. I HATE Starlight Express with a passion. Haven't seen or heard Woman in White yet, so I can't comment on that.
