Posted: 10/9/13 at 12:03pmI'm worried about this show being sold out. Does anyone have an idea when these will go on sale? Thanks! :)

Posted: 10/9/13 at 2:35pmIs there really a fear of them selling out the entire run? I'm sure the show will do well, but I doubt that they will sell out months before the show is scheduled to open.

Posted: 10/9/13 at 2:43pmI have way more fear the majority of the good seats will be blocked off for subscribers (guaranteed), the remaining decent seats will be premium (likely), and what is left will be not something you want to lock in months and months in advance (becoming more and more the case with buzzy shows).

You're right, Jeff. I subscribed because typically, Roundabout only offers extreme sides and rear of both the orchestra and mezz to non-subscribers. Unused subscriber seats are released day of performance, I believe. The rep told me that orchestra seating was going to go for $170 to non-subscribers.
It looks like the same seating configuration as the 1998 revival (if memory serves me) will be used.

Posted: 10/9/13 at 4:27pmRoundabout, as a nonprofit theatre, does not do premium pricing. In fact, that is one of the reasons they (along with other nonprofits) are able to negotiate lower salaries with the unions, so don't expect that to change just because they have a popular show.

And I'm sure Roundabout will milk this show for all it's worth - which means getting decent seats should not be all that difficult.
