Posted: 5/21/12 at 9:28pmBoth of them are reportedly contracted through September. I didn't see Burns, but I've heard good things about her. I saw Schwartz on tour in May 2010 and I thought she was terrific. She brought humor and depth to the role of Glinda.

Posted: 5/22/12 at 12:19amLast I heard was September as stated above. It's interesting to see Burns play the role for a full year as that is the longest Elphaba since Shoshana or Eden. I hope we see a new face.

I do not like Wicked that much, but Mamie Parris was absolutely incredible and just owned that stage. She had me completely invested in the show, and I actually thoroughly enjoyed it.

There has been rumors that Amanda Jane Cooper could be replacing Chandra and Mamie Parris replacing Jackie.
I can see the Amanda Jane Cooper being true. Considering the last two Glindas (Katie Rose Clarke and Chandra Lee Schwartz) both joined the Broadway company relatively soon after leaving the tour.
I really hope that it is true. I saw Mamie and Amanda on tour together in Cincinnati and they were both great and had fantastic chemistry together.

Posted: 5/23/12 at 4:57pmI highly doubt if Amanda Jane Cooper would be the replacement since she left early from the 1NT. Like Clumsy Dude my money would be on Mamie or Anne. As for Glinda I would love to see NAtalie Daradich replace Chandra. My dream team though would be Anne Brummel and Katie Rose Clarke.

I really hope it is Mamie next. She is fantastic. Mariand Torres would be my second choice.
I would not be surprised if Amanda was offered the part. She was quite good in the role. Previous cast members have also had issues in the past and were brought to Broadway. Teal Wicks had missed a lot of performances in both the Los Angeles and San Francisco companies of the show and she was promoted. Jackie Burns also missed shows. She was barely on at all when the tour was in Toronto.

I saw Jackie/Chandra in October and thought they were terrific. Jackie was neck and neck with Eden Espinsosa for my fav Elphaba... and she sang (and acted) the hell out of it. Her "No Good Deed" was by far the best I've ever seen.
This was a surprise as I had watched some YouTube clips and expected to be disappointed. I think she builds up steam as the performance goes on.
