Their facebook says "within the next couple of weeks."

They also said they have no idea who the cast will be for the performance....any guesses.

I'm disappointed in this cast. I was hoping they would bring Roz Ryan back. Oh well, I think I might give my ticket away then.

If you decide to give your ticket away I will gladly take it
Maybe they will have like a special one day only cast for the free show. It's kind of a big deal.
I doubt it. This is a perfectly fine cast. The only regular name is Bianca. It's not a boring recycled cast.

I for one am ridiculously excited for Colman. I think he will be a fantastic Billy. Plus he is just so talented he should always be on Broadway in something.
"Maybe they will have like a special one day only cast for the free show. It's kind of a big deal."
I hope you're being sarcastic, because the chances of that happening are more than slim. This is going to be a heavily-comped performance. Bringing in a special cast for one day sounds ridiculous. Not to mention it would cost money they really don't need to spend.
This is a Chicago FAN DAY performance. It's not really "kind of a big deal." It's meant to bring together fans of the show as a whole regardless of who is in the cast. Therefore, that is another reason why a special cast is unlikely - true fans aren't going to nitpick over the cast and turn down their ticket based on a couple of performers. If you're going to be that picky, why bother getting a ticket in the first place and take the chance away from someone who would have used it? FYI, I'm not just a bitter person who missed out on the ticket - mine is on its way in the mail.
First off I love this show and I consider it to be one of my favorite scores. I have seen it 3 times in New York twice on tour and once with Patti LaBelle as Mama Morton. That being said, I was hoping for a certain cast and did not even stop to think that if i got the ticket this cast would not be performing. I planned to make a trip to the city anyway to see (Women on the Verge), which sadly closed. Now it seems like their isn't even any point in going. Just to clear it up, when i said I might give my ticket away I meant that I would give it to one of my close friends.

During an event like this, it's not uncommon for the producers to send out the understudies in all the major roles. It's a good way to give them exposure.

Which I would be fine with. I honestly never thought they would offer free tickets when they were bringing in some big name.
And how many times does the average theatre goer get a free ticket to a Broadway show? This is my first time and I'm not going to complain about it a bit.

I was addressing rougeduck's comments. I am not sure what Chicago plans to do this day in terms of casting, but this makes more sense than hiring a special cast to perform the show that Sunday.

I can't go. If anyone wants my ticket (hoping it comes), PM me.
Why are they away giving away free tickets?
It's a fan appreciation day. The entire theater will be comped fans.
That surprises me, as the main producers the 'Wenzels' I think, must be the tightest people on Broadway.
