I am actually really excited about LaVon too. I saw her in Hello Dolly once and I loved her!
Confirmed in Facebook today. Tickets went out in the mail last week. This is the cast for the performance:
Chicago The Musical
Bianca Marroquin as "Roxie"
Leigh Zimmerman as "Velma"
Colman Domingo as "Billy"
Robert Creighton as "Amos"
LaVon Fisher-Wilson as "Mama"
...R. Lowe as "Mary Sunshine"
...and all that jazz.
According to Facebook the tickets were mailed last week so we should be getting them soon
Got my ticket today. There's no seat number on the ticket so it is first come first serve it would seem.

Is there a section on it?
I remember something on the facebook about people who respond first will get Orch. and others will be seated in the mezz
I still can't believe the producers are allowing a day of all comps
I mean they must really have money if they are willing to give away an entire performance's house for free
^ Don't forget the show has been open for 14 years now. Another factor is that we don't know where the funding is actually coming from, or was that stated somewhere? I think a bank donated money when Bye Bye Birdie did the $10 first preview tickets for the general public.
Got my ticket!
The ticket says Orchestra-General Admission, so I'm presuming that it's first come, first-serve orchestra seating on the day of the show.
Mine is also Orchestra-General Admission. I feel bad for whoever had to print all those telecharge receipts (the edges look hand torn)
While I was hoping Tom Hewitt would have still been Billy, I am glad that the cast is amazingly "stun" free for once.
Aww, general admission? Guess the out of towners will get the nosebleed seats!

What time do we think people will start lining up?

I go my ticket today. I am sure people will start camping out at the crack of dawn which sort of sucks, since I don't intend on doing that.

Nor do I
I've seen the show many times before, so I don't mind if I'm in the back of the orchestra. Not like it's a big theatre at all...
I almost threw out my ticket today, I thought it was junk mail, just coming from a PO Box.
The big question for me at least is if they gave out the exact amount of tickets to fill the theatre, or more than that, in which case people will be turned away (and probably be pissed).
If I knew for a fact that only enough tickets to fill the theatre were given out, then I'd have no problem going up later than I intended. But if they gave out more, I run the risk on losing out if I'm not there at a decent hour.
I'm a 45 minute bus ride from NYC (from Middlesex County, NJ), so anything I do probably will be fine, but I'm thinking I will go early.
I doubt they would give out more than they have seats or standing room for. That would be wrong. And for those who have never seen the show before, you do not want to end up on the extreme sides of the mezzanine. I found it hard to see from there and had wished I went with the standing room ticket instead of going to TKTS.

Tomorrow will be my first time seeing the show and after just finishing the movie, I am more excited about seeing it. How early do you think everyone will start lining up?
According the the latest e-mail i got from the chicago folks (with coupons), the line forms at 11am. I'm planning on getting there around 11:30 myself, since I would prefer an aisle seat relatively close to the stage.
