Well I worked for the RSC in London and their philosophy is that everyone lives together in a little reproduction of Anne Hathaway's cottage on wheels. It builds company spirit.
When they go abroad it works like a submarine and crawls the ocean floor.
Technicians live in the cellar, of course.

in answer to the posters question, they live at the Hotel Carter
King Henry the 8 th & his wife & Cromwell live in the penthouse. The rest of the peons stay in the general rooms.

I don't know if the same thing applies to Wolf Hall, but I know that Roundabout has a specific staff member whose job it is to find housing for cast members if they do not already live in New York, especially if they have someone coming to New York temporarily from overseas for the duration of a production. They consult with the actor on their preferences of housing (distance from the theater, doorman vs non doorman building, walk-up or elevator, etc)
