This is ancient history now, but he was working on revisals to Bat Boy back in 2014 -- he was involved in reworking some of the book during a production at Harvard and was overt in discussing his desires to bring the show back to New York. But I haven't heard a peep about it since then.

Bat Boy (and Urinetown) were my musical awakenings. Until then I had grown up with all the golden age musicals, but then it was suddenly like oh musicals can be like this!
I'd love too see it brought back at one of the off-broadway non-profits.
