Which actor is known for being at every(or most) performances during his/her given run? Some are semi-good and some hardly ever miss any. Which actor, in your opinion, has the best attendance record?

I don't know if you only meant current shows, but I believe Hugh Jackman did not miss a single performance of "The Boy From Oz" for the entirety of its nearly year-long run.

well, Merman obviously.

More recently, I'd say Harvey Fierstein.

"More recently, I'd say Harvey Fierstein."

Definately fierstein, that man is a machine.

when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.

Fierstein. Also, Hugh Jackman was good, but they just closed the show when he couldn't do it. Harvey doesn't even take a vacation!

Someone who hasn't come up yet: Patrick Wilson. His vacation was the only time he missed during Full Monty.

Actually, Jerry Orbach's title, as awarded by the Drama League, was "having appeared in more performances of American musicals than any other living actor." Of course, that was at the time.

That doesn't 'exactly' say he never missed a performance, but I'm pretty sure that was at least part of what they ment.

Cathy Rigby has played Peter Pan more than 26,000 times.

Hugh's record is outstanding if you consider that he was onstage about 95% of the time, he sang about 21 songs, and he did a lot of energetic dancing. You needed incredible stamina to accomplish that and not miss any performances.

Ummmmm......

Rigby has done the show 26,000 times?

I take it that's a joke. It would take 62 years of 8 performance weeks to get to that number.

jo - I think you can add to that the fact that a lot of that dancing was done on a broken foot.

I know that Victoria Clark did the complete run of Titanic, but does anyone know if she missed many shows? I'm guessing not. I love that she understudied a bunch of people in Sunday in The Park, but never went on! Those folks had good attendance!

I'm thinking perhaps it was 2600 that the poster meant, and not 26,000. 2600 seems like a more realistic number.

I'd also like to mention Antonio Banderas in Nine, who never missed a show.
