#1Which Disney show should I see?
Posted: 3/4/07 at 10:59amI'm planning on taking my 12 year old son to see his first show. I'm debating between Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, or Tarzan. What do you think would be the best one for a boy his age?

Posted: 3/4/07 at 11:02amMy first was Beauty and the Beast and I LOVED it. But I was 5 at the time. I'd still say either Beauty or Lion King.

Posted: 3/4/07 at 11:02amLion king. Beauty and the beast is amazing also.

Posted: 3/4/07 at 11:02amNo question, The Lion King. It's clearly the best of the three.

Posted: 3/4/07 at 11:07amWhile The Lion King is the best out of the three, I would go and see Beauty and the Beast only due to the fact that it is closing soon. I think that LION and Tar will be around for a while.

Posted: 3/4/07 at 11:19amEven though it might not seem the best for a boy, Mary Poppins is great. Lion King is the best of the other three, but as they said, Beauty is closing. Tarzan, let's not go there...

Posted: 3/4/07 at 11:31amMary Poppins is the best Disney show out there. Definatly consider it and a boy williek it.
#11re: Which Disney show should I see?
Posted: 3/4/07 at 12:09pmMary Poppins is a great show, yes, even for a boy. Bert is pretty much the best male Disney character ever created....But Lion King is a close second.

i think beauty and the beast. it's definitely the best out of those shows.
enjoy!

Posted: 3/4/07 at 12:44pmI think Beauty and the Beast would be nice. It's closing and its a good first show for kids.

Posted: 3/4/07 at 12:53pmBut he's twelve. At that age, something more visually stunning would be good. The flying in Mary P is perfect, or the buffalo in Lion King! Some extra dimension. I know Beauty has the Transformation, but that's really not that exciting if you're over 8!

for a 12 year old boy, i would say either the lion king or tarzan.
enjoy!
#17re: Which Disney show should I see?
Posted: 3/4/07 at 2:20pmI don't know about Lion King. I saw the show, and it bored me to tears. But then again, so did the movie, so I am biased.

Posted: 3/4/07 at 2:22pmBeauty and the Beast is my favorite, and the music is wonderful. Though, he may prefer to see Tarzan.

See Beauty and the Beast.
It's closing and its good to have every child's first few shows be it.
If you wanna steer away from a Disney show, the Drowsy Chaperone may be nice for him. Also, Hairspray.

Two questions
1. Just out of curiosity, why dose it have to be a Disney show?
2. What are his tastes?

Hairpsray? Another way to turn a 12 year old boy off theatre for life!
Disney, I suppose the original poster reckons Disney is a safe bet for kids, and I would be inclined to agree. Despite its slight femininity, Wicked? Otherwise, i stick with my original choices. Lion King or Mary P.

Let him decide and if he says between "BatB" and "LK", pick LK. I'd pick Beauty just because it is closing. I think that he'd like Lion King more than any of them. If he is into what regular 12-year-old boys are into, take him to see either Lion King and Tarzan. Between them, I'd pick Lion King. Buy or borrow from someone the OBC Recordings of the two, let him hear some of the songs, and let him decide. Let us know the two that he wants to see.

Posted: 3/4/07 at 3:29pmI'd say Beauty and the Beast because its closing and the others will be around for a while. If not BatB, Mary Poppins. Enjoy your trip!
