Again with the pointless threads... we don't know what you like, how can we judge? Listen to samples on amazon or watch the Broadway.com videos. Tastes and opinions differ.
For the sake of promoting it, however-- Drowsy Chaperone

Listen- I tried. Amazon doesnt have clips for other one and I trust the people on here and their opinons. I'm sorry if you find this pointless but to me, its not.

Over_The_Moon,
This thread is not pointless, no thread is pointless. He needs opinions and we gave him ours. Maybe he likes them both and is just trying to decide!
I got Drowsy and only listened to the clips of Wedding Singer. Although I do like a few of the songs in Wedding Singer, I'd go with Drowsy first. I love the orchestrations, and Sutton Foster's "Show Off" is worth the price of the CD alone.
So, I say go with Drowsy Chaperone right now. But don't keep Wedding Singer out of your collection - buy it sometime in the future.
I am changing my vote to both, because they are both great scores.
I don't think this thread is pointless. Especially if you are spending money on something. What's wrong with getting other people's opinions on things? Besides, I looked at Amazon, Best Buy, Circuit City, and iTunes, and there are NO sound samples. I don't know if they've updated since. So what else do you do? The only thing is you could watch the videos on broadway.com, but you hear the same songs over and over again.
my cat "Baby June" just voted for DROWSY
she purrs when Sutton does
"I DON'T WANNA SHOW OFF"
of course i put it on replay, it's so much fun.
and She actually giggles thru
"I AM ADOLPHO"
one of the funniest songs and performances i have heard in along time.

Oh, THAT'S why I don't post on the main board!
No one is trying to turn you away from the main board. Honestly now, there's nothing wrong with getting another person's opinion. And as I said, it was difficult to find clips for Drowsy. What's pointless is people trying to constantly point out what they think shouldn't be posted. If you think it's pointless, no one told you to click on the thread.

thanks millie- that was really nice.
Drowsy all the way. Just got it today, and can't stop playing it. Can't stand Wedding Singer. Get an 80's cd and hear what real 80's music sounds like.

They both have their pros/cons, but I'd go with Wedding Singer. I think it has the most "good" songs throughout the recording whereas Drowsy has a couple good ones here and there.
