Sure is....and it's fantastic. It's in it's 3rd year now, with a production that just happened in July. Here's a site on the show for you to explore:

Posted: 8/10/06 at 3:50pmPersonally, I wish the studios would stop going the remake route. It may be easy money, but I would prefer to see something new. I guess most of the world doesn't though. As for White Christmas, I love the movie and there is no way a newer version would work. Of course, they'd probably remove all the songs and set it in Alaska. I've seen the stage musical for the past 2 years and it is lovely. I hope it continues to be a holiday tradition.

I did in 2004 in San Francisco. Opening night and many nights after. He was wonderful and I am so glad he will be representing on the cast recording. What a deep, velvet voice, and he was paired wonderfully with Anastasia Barzee. They played well off each other.
I think Brian's highlight would have to se the Blue Skies number, but his haunting "How Deep is the Ocean" was pretty damn good, too.

Finally a good solid Christian show... with songs written by a non-Christian - ah but we should take what we can get. Does anyone know if the show is cast "traditionally?"

Traditionally...well I'm biased towards d'Arcy, but you could call him traditional [I think]. Jeffry, Anastasia, and Meredith aren't really typical "names", but from what I can tell, they are very talented people. It's gonna be great. = ]

Posted: 9/20/06 at 12:03amyeah...I am a little concerned here about americaright's post about it being "tradionally cast" and "a solid christian show" and "we'll take what we can get".

I thought that might be the case, and I'm actually surprised that I was the only one who called out the comments.
Since when are sock puppets allowed to post? Trolls, yes...but sock puppets?

Posted: 9/20/06 at 9:33amI'm curious to know why AmericaRight is concerned if White Christmas is cast "traditionally". Please enlighten us withh your Christian American values towards casting.

Exactly how is WHITE CHRISTMAS a "christian" move/show? It is entirely secular. Yes it takes place at Christmas but the holiday is not celebrated in any religious way in teh show. In fact they are all working doing the show.
(Forgive my bias. I have run into too many so-called "Christians" lately who are not really that at all: they just use it as an excuse to force their morality on others.)
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Well, I am glad to see more people finally noticed americarights post last night about this show. I see the poster has moved on to start in on a Chorus Line now.
There is nothing "christian" about White Christmas, as noted above. No religious aspect as all. And no, a Christmas tree is not a religious aspect. If it was, people wouldn't be hanging things like "Mickey Mouse" and "Nascar" ornaments from it's branches.
