White Christmas Box Office Closed Today

Tried to but tickets today at 2 PM on a nice Sunday afternoon about 3 weeks before opening but the box office was closed. A few other people wanted to buy tickets but were dumbfounded as to why it was not open

Not to smart especially for a limited run show

Box offices of shows that aren't open are usually closed on Sundays.

I'm sure their hours are posted somewhere. (But above posters are right...usually a M-F thing until show is opened.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

You would think in this economy they would be open on weekends to get whoever wanted to buy a ticket.

There is a lot of traffic in Times Square on the weekends so to have the box office closed on a weekend for a limited run/season show is stupid IMO. Just more evidence of the producers disdain for their customers. Why make things easy for them.

I think the theory about this is that in this day and age, most people buy there tickets online (and I'm sure they have numbers to back that up) and so whatever the PROFIT would be from those x tickets sold would not make it worth it to have to pay two extra people on a weekend. Also, because the show isn't that close to opening, they wouldn't be getting the tourists anyway, which probably makes up the largest part of the Times Square weekend crowd. Just my two cents.

The show didn't even open yet and wouldn't be at the TKTS booth.

And I doubt when it does open it will be on TKTS that much. Good thing I saw this in Boston for much cheaper.

Isn't pay twice as much on Sundays- it is in London.
When a theatre is dark its box office will normally close at 6pm.

I wonder if they'll do a student rush or lotto type thing. Guess we won't know until November 13th?

until the show starts previews, their hours are 11am-8pm Mon-Sat and closed on Sundays.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

MamasDoin'Fine, pay is the same every day of the week for pretty much any job in the US. The exceptions being National Holidays when most people make time and a half.
