Neither of these are big broadway stars, but, I saw Anne Hathaway when she was in her high school production of "Once Upon a Mattress" , and I used to wait tables with comedian/actor Jay Mohr.
edit: I almost forgot, I saw the broadway production of Othello with James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer, with Dianne Weist as Desdemona (before her 2 Oscars) and Kelsey Grammer was Cassio (before Cheers, Fraiser, and a million Emmys).
I killed the boss, you don't think they're gonna fire me over a thing like that!!!!
Celia Keenan-Bolger was in the ensemble of a production I saw of "Cinderella" I saw a billion and a half years ago.
Galen Gilliand (sorry for the spelling) was in a production of "Sound of Music" here. I did "Guys and Dolls" with Paul McGill a billion and a half years ago as well.
OVER HERE, the Andrews Sisters musical, was loaded with future stars: John Travolta, Treat Williams, Marilu Henner and Ann Reinking all had featured roles in the show.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
Before they became famous? I can only remember a few:
Patrick Wilson in Full Monty Sutton Foster as Eponine in Les Miz tour Steve Pasquale as Chris in Miss Saigon tour before becoming a tv star.
"I love acting. It is so much more real than life." Oscar Wilde "After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." Aldous Huxley
Annabella Sciorra - classmate and scene partner. Scott Valentine - classmate Douglas Carter Beane - classmate
"Smart! And into all those exotic mystiques -- The Kama Sutra and Chinese techniques. I hear she knows more than seventy-five. Call me tomorrow if you're still alive!"
Lea Salonga - I saw her on tv before she auditioned for Kim for the London production of Miss Saigon.
