I miss this show so much...well more particulary the OBC. The chemistry was truly stunning and it was one of the best shows on Broadway at the time.
Anyone else???

Funny, I've been in a Millie mode for a while. Today I listened to all of the Sutton songs just out of randomness.

Millie could have gone on for quite some time had foster stayed in the role. Let's be honest, SHE made that show!
I think Millie would be a great show for many community theatres just because it could give a young girl her first debut role, or if there were a girl known in the community for her theatre roles, it'd be an opportunity not to miss..very vehicle driven...
I do miss the show though
I just found out a few days ago that we're premiering this at my school next year. VERY EXCITED!
I DO!
I do I do I do-oo! *raises hand* I saw it 3 times starting when the OBC started breaking up. I wouldn't want to see it without Sutton but I didn't get tired of the show, it's just amazing with her.

Millie is my ultimate guilty pleasure show. I know it's not technically "good", but I've seen the national tour 3 times...

I MISS IT!!!! It was my first Bway show, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
"Millie" and "42nd Street" were two shows I'd always see when visiting NY. For some reason I was always able to get row A center seats for "Millie" by ordering in advance. It was wonderful seeing Foster so close. She is amazing. I miss both these shows. "Millie"'s also one of the best recorded OBC CD'S ever. The sound is amazing.
The tour just made me go to sleep while on Broadway I thought it was quite good. However when you see the tour in the hands on less experienced actors you really start to see how much weaker the material is than the actors playing it.
awww, I do. It's been a year, hasn't it?
My favorite part about Millie was when it closed at a loss.
I never got to see it! *cries* And I missed the tour when it came to Myrtle Beach. *sigh* One day...
If only I could dance, Millie would be my dream role. LOL
Awww....MILLIE! One of my favorites! So New York, So Broadway, So Fun! 42nd STREET, MILLIE, GYPSY, WICKED, WONDERFUL TOWN & LA CAGE AUX FOLLES have been my favorite guilty pleasures over the past 3 years, it's time for a new one to tickle my fancy. Those shows to ARE my own personal version of heaven! :)
Not I. I found it rather dreadful and as I've said in other threads, it couldn't hold a candle to the film. "Tap-tap, Tap-tap, Tap-tap, Tapioca everybody freeze!" Raaaaaaaahhhhhhhhzzzzzzzzzzberries!!!
Well.. the show was REALLY bad, and I think the only girl that could pull off Millie would be Sutton. So, yeah. Arn't they coming out with TMM jr.???
Thanks Wonderboy, now I have to go watch the movie again.
*snaps fingers*
Too bad.
