Sutton Foster.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I only seen clips on the internet of Ashley Brown playing Mary and I think she is ok...but in my opinion something is missing in her performance, but I repeat I have only seen her on clips on the net. I have seen five different Mary's in London and I think the one and only Mary Poppins is and always will be Laura Michelle Kelly, although I adore the current Mary Lisa O'Hare.

If Laura Benanti played Mary, they'd have to change her entrance because she'd never appear.

(WickedGeek28 gets stoned for being a jerk!)

Laura Michelle Kelly definitely nailed Mary in this version. Too bad whatever happened, happened and she didn't get to repeat it here.

Marla Schaffel would have been perfect. I was told that she auditioned but lost the role because they wanted a younger actress.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Egan is a barrel of bad performances. She would NOT be good in the role.

^Not to mention that she's about to have a baby any day now.

Erin Dilly would be good too. Or they could go for someone newer like Haviland Stillwell.

I just saw her last week and she was ok. The part is a great part and she was good in it but not too great. I would have loved to see Ruthie Henshall in the role.

Although I admit to not being a fan of Egan's, I don't see how anyone could see her as Mary.

Her voice has this.. timber to it that makes it sound deep even when she's singing high. It lacks the warm tone Poppins should have, not to mention I don't find her the least bit charming.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
