I addressed the letter to the entire cast of All the Way, asking for a signed playbill and explaining why it would mean a lot me. I included my business card (I'm a journalist, don't know if that helped). When I spoke to the stage manager, I asked if he would give my letter and SASE to the cast and thanked him profusely.
I sent to the Book of Mormon, Pippin, and Kinky Boots about a year ago. I only got a cast signed playbill from the Book of Mormon. I didn't hear back from the others and I didn't send a donation to any of them.
I checked the mail today and to my delight I revived a cast signed pride playbill from Bullets Over Broadway and they very kindly took my request and got Marin Mazzie to sign my Carrie playbill. I sent to them around the beginning of May. It defffinately takes some time but they do respond! :) I would post a picture but I'm not sure how...
Got my Playbill back signed with a nice little personal note from Terrence Mann and Charlotte d'Amboise in Pippin. Got it back in about a week and half.
I would love to have my OBC Carrie poster signed by her but I think a poster is to much work. Plus it's in really good condition and I don't want it to get damaged in the mail. Oh well. Maybe she will do the flea market this year?
Hey, guys! I know this isn't really a question about fan mail, but I have a Newsies Playbill signed by some of the members of the original Broadway cast and I can't identify most of the signatures. I posted it on my Broadway fan mail website, and I would really appreciate it if you could help me out! Also, if you're having trouble reading any of the signatures, just message me and I can try to send you a better picture. Thank you so much!!!
Since you have them numbered, it makes it easy... here you go:
1. Ephraim Sykes 2. Alex Wong 3. Jack Scott 4. Tommy Bracco 5. Mike Faist 6. Ryan Steele 7. Garett Hawe 8. Ben Fankhauser 9. Jeremy Jordan 10. Thayne Jasperson 11. Jess LeProtto and Aaron Albano (there are two by that number!) 12. Kyle Coffman 13. Andy Richardson 14. Lewis Grosso 15. Andrew Keenan-bolger
Today, I sent letters requesting pride Playbills to the following shows: Violet Hedwig and the Angry Inch Mamma Mia Lady Day Cripple of Inishmaan Bullets Over Broadway Book of Mormon Of Mice and Men Wicked Phantom of the Opera Newsies Heathers If/Then Matilda Beautiful Cabaret A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
^ Good luck! It's pretty late in the month since they are only doing Rainbow for the month of June, but i am certain they will have some left over to send to you!
MaddieBB12, Unless you sent them the postage in advance, I doubt they will send them. I just sent 8 Pride playbills to a poster on here(the playbills were free, but he paid the postage) and the postage for those 8 was $7. I hope you get your request. I have some of them you can have, if your request does not come through.
I'm debating sending to Violet. I have an Anything Goes Playbill that is signed by everyone except Sutton, but I don't want to take a chance if never seeing it again. Has anyone had any luck with Violet at all?
^Don't worry--I also sent a self addressed, self stamped envelope with each (and I stuck a playbill in the envelope and weighed it to make sure I was putting enough postage on each one!). Thanks though!
I'm sure this was discussed one hundred posts ago but does anyone know how much of a donation you need for a signed Newsies Playbill? I know we're beginning to run short on time but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks!
I sent Idina Menzel a letter after her Radio City show and I just received a signed If/Then Playbill from her! I didn't ask for anything back in my letter but I did include a self-addressed and stamped envelope.
