re: Who is your favorite foreign Broadway performer?

Not to be totally unoriginal, but by far, Michael Ball. I absolutely adore him, and I hope he comes to do Hairspray on Broadway. I also preferred his turn as Count Fosco to Michael Crawford's by far (and I like Michael Crawford!)

Also, TIM CURRY. He's amazing in everything he does, even completely horrible films like "Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost" and "The Worst Witch". Tim Curry's just so delightfully cheesy, you can't help but love him. Actually, 'delightfully cheesy' is probably the best way to describe Michael Ball as well.

I don't know that anyone stands out, but I have an Icelandic version of Rent that is amazing. Can I say an entire cast?

The Icelandic Rent cast has never been on Broadway.

Neither has Philip Quast (as already mentioned).

Am I the only one who loved Ute Lemper's Velma Kelly ?

In my heart, I found the answered dream, and in my soul I found the song, and in my friends I found the magic, the love, the moon up above- they were mine, all mine, all along..!
