Who left first Kristin or Idina?

Posted: 10/16/07 at 2:45pmFor some reason I thought Idina left about 6 months before Kristin left Wicked; however, someone recently told me they thought Kristin left first because of her neck. So could someone please tell me the order of events? Like when it opened? and then when each woman left? Thanks

First preview: Oct 8th 2003
Opening Night: Oct 30th 2003
Kristin left July 18th, 2004.
Along with Joel Grey and Norbert Leo Butz.
Idina left Janurary 8th, 2005.
Along with Christopher Fitzgerald and Joey Mcyntire
Or was suppose to do, but never got to perfom her final show due to injury.

I missed her by a month and a day, thats how I remember it.
EDIT: I just checked BroadwayDatabase and fixed the dates.

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

Actually, Kristin didn't leave the show...she RAN from the show. It was quite the shocker when she wasn't renewing her contract to continue. Most were horrified she left a month right after the Tony Awards and questioned if she would have stayed with the show IF she won the Tony.
Then there was that whole hoopla about who would be replacing her and if her standby Laura Bell Bundy would be taking over the role, etc.
That was one crazy time.
