I was really impressed with the acting in the play.
Kathleen Turner, gave the performance of her career. She is wonderful. Bill Irwin, blew me away with an incredible performance.
Woolf, is not easy to watch. It is riveting yet the evil dysfuntion with the characters make it especially difficult.
It was the best production I have seen of Albee.
Every single cast member gave the performance of a lifetime.
Mireille Enos (Honey) was very funny as the thin hipped wife.
If you want to see a play with substance, Woolf will be your ticket.
In addition, you should pick up the Spring edition of Showpeople and read Musto's wonderful interview with Turner.
It is a must read.

The whole cast is exceptional.
Honey was hysterical! Especially when she danced.
I have always adored Albee. The Zoo story, is a favorite.

It is true. Most tourists want to see musicals.
I can't blame them for wanting to be entertained.
Even Seth Rudethsky hates plays.
Personally, I love it all. Plays and Musicals.
Sad to hear about the show closing.
1. La Cage
2. Woolf
Very depressing. Sad that many plays don't succeed on Broadway. Even if they are great plays!

Zoo Story is what put Albee on the map in the first place, and is probably studied in every high school drama class across the country. How is it possibly one of Albee's lesser known shows?
And Corine... "the cast are exceptional"? "Everything I like are closing?" See anything wrong with those sentences?

Sigh.
My Strunk and White is weeping.

Posted: 6/16/05 at 6:31pmTruly enjoyed this play. Yes Ms. Enos was exceptional in the role of Honey. As a non native I would like to say that not all tourist want to see musicals. Musicals are a nice diversion, but not a steady diet.

Most everything I like am never even on Broadway to begin with.
Corine. We MUST save Virginia Woolf. The writer, not the show.
Tell all your friends to buy the movie The Hours to learn all about her. I happen to have a very special friend in that movie, his name is Ed, and I hate to see him out of work because Virginia Woolf is closing. How can it close when Nicole Kidman, who plays her, is so HOT right now? With Bewitched coming right on the heels of Stepford Wives?
This is wrong. I am pissed! Write to the producer and tell him he are wrong! Email somebody.
