Who all is going to Broadway Barks on Saturday? Which stars do you hope to see? Will you be adopting a pet or bidding on any of the celebrity merchandise?

Is this like the Flea market where you have a chance to meet/take photos w/ the stars there for a fee?
I think I may take an earlier train into the city so I can go. It looks like fun!

If I didn't already have tickets to "The Full Monty" I'd so be there. I wanted to bid on the "Claude" doggie.
I didn't realize it started so late. If I get out of work early enough to catch a reasonable train, I might be able to swing it. It's such a worthy cause too.
You don't have to get there when it starts. It goes on for much of the day. Just show up whenever.
I'll be there! I'll be a seeing a matinee and will be sure to catch at least the last hour of Broadway Barks. I'm excited!
Yeah, I thought it started late morning originally though. So that's why I thought it wasn't going to be worth my time.
I m very tempted! Might stop by before work!
It's been a yearly tradition for me since 2005. I'll be there! Can't wait to see all the cute goggies and kittehs, and the stars!
Definitely going!
And no, it is not like the flea market with a table for autographs and pics.
I'm going and super excited!
Question, what time are people getting there? I've never been to one of these before. I know Bernadette is signing books at 1 (which I'm not going to) and the dog/cat booths are open at 3:30, and the bway people come at 5:30. If I'm not getting my book signed and I'm not adopting a puppy tomorrow any suggestions on what time I should get there to watch the festivities?
I'm definitely not going to get there until 4 or later, but that's okay. I just find events like this fun. It's just a good way of meeting people with the same passion as me, because I do work with a shelter in Jersey.
I'll stop by at some point.
I'll be there from noon helping out. If ya'll see me there please say hi & that you saw me on the board at BWW.
xo Jeff
< Yes, That's me in the picture with the fabu ALICE RIPLEY who will be there today too - woo hoo!
I'll be there today volunteering with the Mayor's Alliance, if I see you I'll say hi! Volunteered there last year too and had a blast--can't wait!
"I'll get you Dawn Davenport" Haha.
I'm working with the alliance too, and debating whether or not to bring my dog along. What do you think?
Is there a schedule showing when certain people will be there? I REEALLY want to see Becki Newton!!

Have fun, everybody! And report back on who you saw.
I'm back from the event. There were a loooot of Broadway stars there, a lot of people, and a lot of adorable animals! Does anyone know why Lauren Graham didn't show up? Anyway, I'm sure others will have much better photos to share, but a favorite photo I took is posted above.
And my other photos are here:

I took pictures too, which I will attempt to get off my phone later. I, stupidly, forgot to charge my real camera, but that's besides the point.
I reall liked the event, Broadway Barks is a remarkable organization! I also love Mary Tyler Moore and spent a semester working on a research paper on her, so seeing her live and buying an autographed script of "Chuckles Bites the Dust" was the most amazing thing imaginable!
All of the dogs - and the humans bringing them onstage - were so adorable! (especially Snoopy!). I hope they reached their goal in money raised and adoption!
the one thing that bothered me (and I know I'm not alone and there isn't anything one can do about it) was being on my feet for 4-5 hours so I could get and keep a good spot. (then once I got it, I was stuck behind a tall guy who ended up in all my pics, and a really rude, mean man who I wanted to sic Toxie on if he said one more mean thing about the event). So if this thread pops up next year, know to get there early and bring food!
I will post some of my semi-decent pics later, and charge my camera!
I was there, and it was great. I think one of my favorite dogs was Bagel. I have way too many photos to post, but I won't worry about that until tomorrow.
