Lindsay is truly incredible - her acting choices are just so on the money - defined, subtle in places, and just delivers the heart and soul of the character better than many an Elphaba I've seen. Everyone knows what a vocal powerhouse the woman is, and she doesn't disappoint in that regard whatsoever, but she's one of the best Elphabas the show has had in quite sometime, and I believe she will be remembered for how fantastic in the role she is. She's still getting her feet wet, but let me tell you - if this is how her toes are in the water, watch out for when she makes the even bigger splash.

Derek Klena has some wonderful acting moments, subtle things in his characterization that sort of break him out of the usual. Vocally, he's great, and he had many of us in stitches when he swung in on the vine during the second act. Can't wait to see him progress, because like Lindsay, he's just getting started and it's already a fine day for swimming.

The show is in fantastic shape, honestly - the supporting leads (Adam Grupper, F. Michael Haynie, Catherine Charlebois in specific) rise to the occasion and bring a lot of their smaller roles. It was lovely to have Katie Rose Clarke back, because she truly adapts so well to the environment and actors around her, and she and Lindsay already have the sparkle and connection needed for an Elphaba-Glinda duo.

I heard from a family friend of Lindsay's that she'll be in till the beginning of January at least. Don't know the exact end though.

I didn't care for either of them. It wasn't as vocally exciting, or emotionally exciting as others.

According to her video blog, one of the lead crew members who has been with the show since the very beginning, stated that a scene with Dr. Dillamond in his study that included Fiyero was cut right before previews of the tryout in SF. He said it included water effects and amazing scenery. Anyone know what happened or what was this scene about?
