There was a german musical called Diana, Das Musical. I own a copy of it.
And there are Marlene with Sian Phillips.
Well, no because technically it is On Topic. ![]()
We've mentioned some Broadway people and we're talking about plays and musicals.

Marilyn Monroe?

Princess Diana?

Marilyn and Di have been the subjects of flop shows and shows so bad they remain "concept albums". The subject of Judy has been discussed, dramatized for television, the subject of specials, books, gay history (the biggest cliche of anything gay), Liza concerts and drag-queened ad nauseum. How about something new and interesting?

Brigham Young: His story is so amazing.
And there'd be lots of female roles, too! :o)

I didn't like "All That Jazz" at all, so I'd like to see a musical about Fosse---something like "Fosse", but where we see his personal life and him choreographing his most famous works. I like the idea, though "Fosse" has already played Broadway and the idea may be too overdone.
I definitely agree, though, with Marilyn Monroe. There are some actresses out there who can really play her SO convincingly if given the chance, I'm sure. I don't know why a Princess Diana musical is so popular; I'm not so sure it would work.
i have just skimmed this thread, so i dont know if anyone has said her name, but how about katherine hepburn?

And oh what an insane musical it would be lmao
Billy Lawlor.. how could you not have liked ATJ? That was one of my all time favorite movies even at a very young age. Of course, it took me seeing it again as an adult to truly understand it, but I've loved it for as long as I can remember!

No, she's not a real person. But I'd like to see Bridget Jone's Diary made into a musical haha.

Bridget Jones' Diary...not a bad idea at all. Just saw it again on cable and it would play well. Hmmm.
