Who should host the Tony Awards?

Not Chris Rock, as Riedel suggested. He bombed the Oscars and he'll bomb the Tonys.
The Patti LuPone of that recent video should host. She and Laura could storm out and go to dinner after they lose Best Featured Actress.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

Patti LuPone hosting the Tony Awards would be wonderful. I have been underwhelmed with the hosts for the past couple of years.

Since we already basically know "Mormon" is going to dominate most of the awards, why not just have Gad and Rannells host it to top things off (sort of like when Lane and Broderick hosted the year of "Producers")? May seem a little idiotic, but could it really be worse than Sean Hayes?

And no one can improve the Tony ratings, so it doesn't really matter how big a star the host is.

I thought Sean Hayes was wonderful last year.
In all seriousness, I can see them giving the gig to Rock, Williams, or have Whoppi and Bette co-host.

I actually kind of like the idea of Chris Rock hosting.
If LuPone hosted, the Tonys would be about a half hour.

I thought Whoopi was a fantastic host... I'd love to see her do it again!

If Seth Rudetsky was let anywhere near the Tonys, I would die inside. I used to like him but now I just think he's an ignoramus.

Whoopi again! Those segments of her in the the different shows are still some of the funniest Tony moments.

What I'd love to see is that the powers that be stop trying to get the ratings they're never going to get and devote the show to Broadway at its best - full production numbers as opposed to truncated versions (like they did in years gone by). I also liked what PBS did for several years as well.
Not sure who I want as host though.
