I think Norbert was too old for the role, though he was wonderful. Joey was okay. The same goes for David.
Actually, my favorite Fiyero is Jerad Bortz. The understudy (1st cover).

Well I haven't seen Norbert in it, but I think Joey sang the role a bit better than David but David acts the role much better. So I guess it's a tie?

I agree that Norbert was to old but I saw David Ayers last week in the show and he was very good i thought

Norbert had a WONDERFUL voice for it, but Joey really looked the part.

singing wise, norbert no question. but i think joey and david look the part more. but i think taye looked the part as well b/c he is gorgeous and, not to get racist, but in the book there were references that suggest he was black (so ive been told, since i havent read the book)

I actually preferred Taye Diggs...but I think David Ayers is second (in my opinion...I don't think NLB is attractive at all, and can't understand his casting).

well since I never got to see Norbert or Taye, I would have to say my favorite was Joey. I would have loved to see Norbert & Taye in it though!

Norbert. Haven't seen the current one but at least Norbert didn't have to sing AS LONG AS YOU'RE MINE in lowered keys as Taye Diggs and Joey McIntyre did. I was confused when Elphaba and Fiyero (as played by McIntyre) suddenly had harmonies when Idina Menzel and Norbert sang a lot of lines in unison, as heard on the OBC recording. The harmonies were a product of transposing Fiyero's vocal lines to a lower key. It's just a pet peeve of mine when songs have to be transposed to a lower key to accommodate stunt casting.
