Hey folks, did anyone watch this show, if so could you give me your opinions on it please?

I was sorry I missed it. Quinton AND Elliott.
It was very cute in a Charles Ludlam/Charles Busch kind of way.
The cast was lots of fun.
Not a brilliant piece of theatre but fun.
Thanks Goldenboy
We are in talks about doing the UK Premiere but i just wanted to see what peoples opinions were

Do it! And then offer comps to people who fly in from the US to see it. And get nice hotel discount packages. And things.
It was a fun, funny show. A quick campy delight, full of double-entendres and some very hot boys in short boxers. I know it was a piece of fluff, and not as well scripted as the Charles Busch catelog but I was happy I caught it.
Lol Namo, i think that may be a bit to much of a discount for our budget.
Once a Month, thats so much, the main thing is we want the audience to have a really fun campy night.

Like the previous posters here, I found it a lot of fun. It seems rarer and rarer nowadays to find a play that you can simply have a good at as opposed to having to endure pretentious garbage. Once upon a time that was not the case. Frankly I would rather see shows like Devil Boys, Tony 'n Tina's Wedding, or Lucky Guy than most of the things that win awards nowadays.
I saw Devil Boys at both the Actors' Playhouse and at New World Stages. I found it played better at the former.
Thanks After Eight, yes i love the campy fun shows (we just produced and i directed the UK Premiere Productions of Die, Mommie, Die and Psycho Beach Party). Our company balances the original dramas written in house by us (we have one opening in November) and the outageous. I think Devil Boys From Beyond will be a perfect match for us, very exciting.
Thanks for all your help
Im thrilled to say that with much thanks to the writer and the team at Samuel French London and New York we will be producing the UK Premiere of Devil Boys From Beyond next April
Great news! I saw it at New World Stages and loved it. Please keep us informed as to when it will play London. I go there at least twice a year and would certainly consider planning one of my trips around seeing Devil Boys again!
I think it will do better in London than it did in New York.
You guys love pantamime, drag and double entendres!
We are not in London (though it would be great to get it down there). We are in Manchester (the second biggest city and theatre city in the UK). We have a huge fringe theatre scene as well as a huge gay scene here so i think it will do great (especially since its opening in a venue in the heart of the gay village on Canal Street which was the setting for the original Queer as Folk UK).
We also premiered Die, Mommie, Die! and Psycho Beach Party there this year and they did great so fingers crossed.
And you are right, we in the UK like a bit of camp and a good laugh

Funny show, saw it at New World Stages last November. Really good cast too, maybe you recruit them back to Lizard Lick.
I'm glad to hear that you will be producing DEVIL BOYS FROM BEYOND in the UK. I, too, saw DEVIL BOYS both at the Fringe Festival and during it's commercial run (even got to meet Everett Quinton after the show at New World through a mutual friend). I loved both the play and the production. I've always preferred the work Charles Busch did with Ken Elliott (who directed DEVIL BOYS expertly) than the work he's done subsequently. I wish you every success with DEVIL BOYS!
Can you tell us how your previous productions (of the Busch plays) have been received in Manchester?
Im glad Devil Boys has so much love for it (it's very funny)
Our UK Premieres of Die, Mommie, Die! and Psycho Beach Party went down very well. We were only limited engagments on both but we had to extend both, we were jam packed sold out and turning people away every night. Audiences loved them, the critics seemed to like them so we were very happy. I love work thats small, fringe and unique, it works for our comapny. It can be stuff we write ourselves are shows from New York that we bring over to the UK.
We are just about to do Die, Mommie, Die! again for 2 performances only in the giant Ballroom at Sachas Hotel for part of Manchester's gay pride.
Here is the trailer for Die, Mommie, Die UK in the small fringe space at Taurus

We produced "Devil Boys" this past spring at our theater in Richmond, VA, and had a huge success with it. The trick is totally in the style, and it sounds like your theater knows how to play it.
What surprised us -- we are a theater specializing in LGBT-themed work, and this was certainly the "gayest show" we did all year -- was the enormous response we had from straight women, who adored the show! They loved the sexy boys, but also the drag roles, which were done extremely well.
Good luck with your production -- Buddy Thomas and Kenneth Elliot are wonderful people and this show works like a charm.
Buddy has been lovely to us, very helpful
We had the same thing with Die, Mommie, Die and Psycho Beach Party, the straight audience especially women loved the show.
