Who would you like to see return to Broadway in the near future?

I’d be thrilled to see Langella on a Broadway stage just one more time.

Now that’s she’s 96 (!) Lansbury is too much to hope for. I’m sorry that her last credit was “The Best Man,” however great it was.

I saw her in a benefit reading of “Lettuce and Lovage” with Dana Ivey and Paxton Whitehead in 2016 and she was sublimely funny in it. How I would have loved a full production of that. I feel so lucky I was there.

Dream scenario? Julie Andrews comes back to do a play. But I'm not holding my breath.

As for some that are more worth hoping for:

Meryl Streep to making her long-awaited return. And Viola Davis making a triumphant return, now that she's an A-list movie star.

Hoping Al Pacino has at least one more in him. If he doesn't, I'll really kick myself for missing my chance to see him in China Doll). Everyone said it was terrible, but in retrospect I would've happily sat through a terrible play to cross Pacino off my list.

But the list goes on and on...

Not a particular person but (I say it every time) I would love to see another production of Once On This Island. I think it might work well off-Broadway at a smaller theatre.

Slight change of topic to ask if you saw the new Dexter series? Can't decide if I want to purchase showtime and watch or not..

She was going to do her one woman show about Goebbel’s secretary, “A German Life” at BAM, before Covid ruined that from ever happening. Who would you like to see return to Broadway in the near future?

Yes, if you've been a fan of Dexter, the last season is a must see. I can't say anything not to spoil, but it was a  very satisfying closure. A few loopholes,  but still. You probably can get a free week Showtime trial. It has some other very good shows worth watching.

I really would love to see MCH on stage soon, in just about anything.

I’m so glad I got to see and meet Angela Lansbury in the Best Man. She was definitely on the top!

in terms of who I’d like to see:

Julie Andrews (a Little Night Music.  But I’d settle for a play)

chita Rivera

maggie smith

ian McKellan

helen mirren

 Cheyenne Jackson

Julia Roberts (in a new play. I so want Broadway to give her a second chance)

Jonathan Groff

Save your money. I was a big fan of the original…the return, not so much

Interesting.  She came to Broadway in the wrong play.  I'd love to see her in something else, too, especially after she gave her greatest if most under-appreciated performance on screen in Ben Is Back.

I hope Andrew Garfield comes back to Broadway, and I would love for Kate Winslet to make her Broadway debut.
