It hardly seems fair. Whoopi has had 15 or so of her films turned into musicals and Mrs. Long has had 0.
I think it really says a lot about the current state of the American Musical Theatre.

Lol. I love all these made-for-TV Christmas movies. What's the channel that does the 25 days of Christmas with a different movie every night?
I agree that Hello Again would make a great musical.

Posted: 9/11/12 at 12:25amI think thats ABC Family that does the 25 days thing. And I can't wait for whatever Hallmark movie comes out for Christmas. Those are my absolute favorites.

I want a Troop Beverly Hills musical for the group choreography number of 'The Freddie' alone.
And to get the overpriced Wilderness Girl t-shirt sold at the theater.
Let's also bring this full circle and have Jenny Lewis do the score.
Has there been a musical adaptation of Clue? If not, why has it NOT happened?

Shelley long was not in CLUE.
And Jenny Lewis is busy writing the score to the musical of her film, THE WIZARD so she's sadly unavailable.

I know she wasn't. The film just crossed my mind because you know what's also under-represented on Broadway, Eileen Brennan films!
And since I had the unfortunate experience of seeing Happy Days the musical, something like Cheers: The Musical cannot be too far off.
Night Shift could work in all seriousness. Actually, a bunch of Ron Howard 80s comedies could work on stage.
