Liza, when you're feeling better (and if you adore his music so much), sing "I'm Still Here", won't ya?
Nice tribute. Odd that Jason Robert Brown was the only composer quoted. One of the nicest 80th Birthday features was the Playbill.com special that asked a bunch of the post-Sondheim composers and lyricists what their favorite Sondheim song was.

I have no idea of the cast requirements for the future Sondheim-Ives project, but I think it's about time Marin Mazzie originated another role by a major writer...another Sondheim role-- even better...on Broadway. With her husband, too?
This article made me think about that.

What I liked about the Billy Magnussen quote is that you know he wrote it because he actually talks like that. In pretty much every interview I've ever seen him do, he talks like a California surfer dude, which is odd considering he grew up in Georgia. But it's funny to think of him and Chris Pine geeking out over "The Sondheim dude" and then after their big singing number discovering that he's fallen asleep on the couch.

Posted: 3/21/15 at 1:31amWait. Did not Martha Plimpton make it all about herself? Did not a lot (most?) of the respondents do so too?

I have to say Mia Farrow's quote made my BS detector go off.
Mia and Sondheim are together tonight, so there's a step toward persuading you.
