Why is Broadway.com pretending nothing happened on Sunday?

Posted: 1/6/09 at 2:42pmHead on over to broadway.com, theres a distinct lack of any coverage over the closings. Also somewhat more amusingly the "family friendly" ticketing tab on the front page happily suggests (among others) White Christmas, Hairspray, 13, and Grease. What the hell?

Posted: 1/6/09 at 2:51pmI could have sworn I saw their photographer, Bruce Glikas at Hairspray on Sunday, so I have no idea why there are no pictures up yet.

Bruce Glikas is also a FilmMagic photographer. His photos have been up since yesterday: http://www.filmmagic.com/ItemListing.aspx?cgl=347484&evntI=0
I too wonder whether Broadway.com is going to have a Photo Op...

Broadway.com wants to focus on the shows that are open, so that they can sell tickets and charge $25 per ticket service fees.
That's the purpose of their site. Not to report news.

There was a time when they DID report news.

I hardly think photo shoots when a celebrity goes to see a show count as news.

Posted: 1/6/09 at 10:10pmHow come BWW only has photo coverage of the Hairspray and Liza closing nights? What about all the other shows?
