Yes, the other performances were not subtle, but no one else seemed to be shouting.

yeah true. But no one else was playing Abe Lincoln. A closeted Abe Lincoln with an insane alcoholic wife in the midst of the Civil WAR. 😂

Exactly, and I love how people are saying he's always shouting, when he very clearly isn't during moments of quiet with Simon, Louise, and Booth. In the bar scene, he eventually loses his cool, but he's very composed up until that moment.

Sad to hear that, scalpers are off loading tickets. I mean, after Betty, Phillip, and Chris, then Titus, Phillip, and Chris. I think audiences have probably seen it a couple of times, and while Cole is the thing and brilliant in their play...marketing needs some new juice that hopefully will come with the Tony nominations next week.
In terms of Conrad, y'all funny most of his lines are definitely shouted and not half as specific as Phillip James Brannon's portrayal. Who also used his full voice on the stage, but was never non specific with the shouting the way it was originally done. Y'all giving context and talking about hitting the back row, gurl please. Conrad just shouts 70% of his performance, always has, not saying its not effective (especially until we had another interpretation to compare it to and saw so many new things in that role) but its mostly shouty, less specific, and less funny than PJB. Again no shade to CR, it's just a different take and what we who saw the show knew first.

I just looked at the Theatr app, and the cheapest ticket I could find was sold for $65 (including fees) for balcony seats. In comparison, you could just rush Oh! Mary! and just get a $43 balcony ticket. At the current moment you can only buy single tickets for Oh! Mary! on the Theatr app, all people who had to change their plans.
I wouldn't feel sorry for scalpers either way, but I'm not seeing any current evidence of scalpers putting large batches of tickets on the app for a loss.

I'm sure sales will pick up once the Tony nominations are out next week and they get a lot of nominations....
