I have tickets for April 10- when Cole and original cast will be back- but notice there are still tons of seats available. I thought this would be an instant sell-out. Any reason why the tickets are not selling?
I think it will be a bit of a bell curve. Right now buzz is a bit lower, Betty has gotten good reception but certainly hasn’t drawn the same mainstream interest that Cole did. By the time Tony season is in full swing and an end date is drawing closer and closer for their re-engagement, I think people will start swooping these up pretty quickly.
I also think it’s just a symptom of current Broadway ticket buying patterns. Buy late. Day of, day prior, a few days prior…

They don’t come back for more than a month. People aren’t buying tickets in advance in the way they used to.
$400 a ticket is very steep. hopefully prices will come down a bit.
Their return was only announced 2 days ago…

Agreed, although I bought a ticket for 2nd row Mezz in the side section for $170 which I thought to be very fair.
Broadway is rarely Beyoncé concert where all the tickets are bought immediately and resold for profit. Cole’s return was only announced a few days ago. Chill.
And don’t forget, there’s a cast change up before this- Titus Burgess hasn’t even begun his run yet, which appears to be almost entirely sold out.

Alternatively, this price seems outrageous for an 80-minute show to sit in side mezz, regardless of who's in it. Just my opinion, of course.

Did the producers ever announce if the show has recouped? if it has.

Yes back in November https://playbill.com/article/oh-mary-is-broadway-seasons-1st-show-to-recoup
To answer the question, we also have a VERY large slate of new shows opening this Spring, including multiple high-profile star-driven revivals, and that may draw away some box office - though not enough to imperil the show as it’s relatively cheap to run.

There’s a limit to what most people can afford. With the growing economic chaos in this country, I’m hesitant to drop big bucks on anything—and that certainly includes theatre tickets. Sucks that reality has to get in the way of fun, but that’s life right now.

I bought the same location for $79. Going at 5 pm on Thursday , their first week back. Plus the ridiculous $20 service charge from TodayTix.
If my mom weren’t a massive Cole fan, I wouldn’t be returning to bring her with. As much as I loved the show, it was definitely a “one and done” for me. I think without a lot of the surprises and shocks, it will play different. Others may feel the same way.
It's been like days! And it's going to take some marketing to let people know the original cast is back. I've personally gotten lost trying to keep track who is who and when.
