Wicked $90.83 average ticket price

Weekly grosses just came out, and does anyone else think that an average ticket price of $90.83 for Wicked is a little outrageous for a Broadway musical? I canb't believe that's the AVERAGE price. I guess there are a lot of tweens out there with rich parents.

Haha. Go back and read that thread. I think it's funny that you can convince some people that a woman's immense breath in is actually a monkey screaming. Maybe she needs to work on her breathing...

Don't forget that it also includes the cost of the VIP tickets, which can cost up to $300.00. We can all thank "The Producers" for this new trend on Broadway.

I honestly think it was worth it. We paid over 100.00 to see Wicked and it was worth every minute of it...and I would pay that price again.

Some guy was selling tickets outside the theatre on Cheno's last week, for like $350 or something. And one teen girl asked her mom, and her mom gave her the money!

I've paid full price two of the three times I've seen the show. Now I'm a big fan of the $55 "partial view" seats.

Agreed. I love being on the right for partial view. The first time I sat in partial view, my friends and I could see Megan Hilty running around backstage like a maniac before the show began. We figured she was getting the energy up or frantically looking for her wand. Oh, and we could hear her doing a few vocal warm-ups.

Oh. thats not bad consitering I paid 125 bucks for row M in the EVita Tour.. and I'd rather see Wicked then the Evita tour..

Yeah, I heard JLT warming up when I was 5th row partial view. I could see backstage, but tried not to - it was my first time. So I wanted to be completely suprised.
