i meant
musicals dont always translate to the screen
and people think that when actresses sing, they could have had some technical stuff to make their voices better!

how do you know? work int he movie business? or on the show for that matter?
actually a friend told Schwartz to read the book, he did, thought it would make a great musical and wrote it...

most musicals don't work on film because they're such an experience on stage and the amazment of seeing it all live (I.E Rent, Phantom, Wicked, etc.)
if done into a movie soon, it should be done off the book. If made into a movie after the show closes or in years, maybe a musical then.

I personally think the musical (which I love) would NOT transfer well on screen. Some scenes would be cool, but overall I think it may look kinda cheesey. I think the book would be amazing however. Also, after watching the Chronicals of Narnia, I was thinking, perhaps a movie version of the novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" would be amazing on screen. Its never really been done. Some cartoons here and there, but I mean a big, full production. Not the musical. Personally I dont think they could ever remake The Wizard of Oz. Anyway, back to Wicked. I always thought (mind you, this is the non-musical verson):
Reese Witherspoon (Glinda)
Mischa Barton (Elphaba - for some reason, her character on the OC reminds me of Elphaba lol. Fiery and deep. Idk lol. I think she would be very good)
Glenn Close (Madame Morrible)
And the actor who played Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge as the Wizard. Sorry, I forgot his name lol.
If you totally hate the ideas, dont kill me lol. Its just something I could see in my head :)
