Wait a minute...if the slap is not real then why is it cut when Kristen wears the brace? Like that is gonna matter? That just came to me after a long night at work. Sorry.

PEACE.

When they stage-slap each other both of them have to sort of fall back and be shocked and do stuff that I don't think Kristin would want to do in a neck brace.

This show is turning into Dynasty! It's like Linda Evans and Joan Collins in OZ!!

I think Indina should wear leg splints and crutches and REALLY show Kristin who's boss.

At the end, we see fiyero in the shower realizing it was all a dream. And you were there, and you were there, everyone was. Oh audience, there's no place like the Gershwin!

I saw that Kristen was out today. Was this the first time that Laura Bell Bundy went on in her place?

I'm sorry, but this is soooo funny. This whole thread has got me laughing quite hard, not because of what everyone has been saying necessarily but more or less so the very fact Idina just slapped her. Doesn't n e one else think thats just hilarious? I think I would just laugh if I saw that. Man, that would be priceless...

I totally agree. I've had to bite my tongue on this one, but I can't hold out any longer...I'm not a big Kristen fan.

Thank God!! I thought I was the only person who was not a big fan of hers. I respect all of the talent that she has...but there is something about her that irks me sooo badly. I think she is perfect for Glinda...don’t get me wrong, but when she speaks in real life in that high-pitched voice I want to shoot myself!!

don’t get me wrong I'm still jealous of her talent...

I know how you feel. That's why it took me so long to admit that I wasn't a fan of hers (I thought I was the only one). Not only is the "squeaky" voice annoying, I think it is also a put on.

My wife and I are going tonight. I'm "bracing" myself for Kristen's no-show. If that happens, I'll get our money back.

I agree. I think she's very talented, don't get me wrong. And she's very cute in interviews. But something about her just rubs me the wrong way. She seems fake & a little too diva for my liking. I think a lot of my feeling about her stems from the fact that she NEVER comes out the stage door & signs autographs. I've heard that it has something to do with her record label, that she's not "allowed" to sign autographs... but that just sounds a bit odd. Plus, I know she signs & returns things that are mailed to her, so that kind of contradicts the record label argument. She used to come out the stage door during previews, but since the show opened she's pretty much stopped entirely. I know she's not obligated to sign autographs, but still... Idina is out there almost every night.

Anyway, I didn't mean for that to get so long. Just sort of glad to see others who feel the same way about Kristin as I do.

She has reoccuring neck pain from an injury she received in San Francisco (a lighting tower hit her). It occasionally flares and she has to wear the brace.

Sorry but this whole thing strikes me as ridiculous. It's like she wants the attention. Especially when she does it for act two . Common now, unless you break something or loose your voice im sure most performers could tough it out untill the end.

I've pulled my neck a few times, and I can tell you that it hurts a lot even with the slighest movement. So unless she wants to walk around with her head to one side and trying not to move, I think a neckbrace is the next best thing.

A crybaby would be someone who DIDN'T even go on. At least she makes the effort to go on stage.

I give her kudos for continuing to perform even with a blown out neck. I'm not even a huge fan of Kristin, but that to me, is FAR from a crybbay!

Unless any of you are doctors (I'm not) and know her true condition (I don't), then I wouldn't be casting stones... someone seeking attention, would just walk out for Act II and let her stand by go on.

Give the girl a break, none of us know truly what's wrong with her so to slam her for it is just wrong.

I would never, ever cast a stone at a woman wearing a neck brace. Idina probably would tho! "Let's see this STONE defy gravity!"

After four pages of relentless ranting from you all, I am finally going to open my mouth. Too bad all I can say is golly Moses. What's the big deal?
