Wicked Dallas- No Lotto
Wicked Dallas- No Lotto#0
Posted: 10/6/05 at 6:42pmJust for everyone in Dallas' information-Wicked will not be selling lotto seats fir the Dallas run. I called the box office to see, and they said it is because there is "not ample space to hold lotto". Just FYI.

Not ample space? Are they serious? Music Hall has the *enormous* area in front of the theater - on more than one side - not to mention 2 seperate lobby areas once inside. I swear, the lobby of the Music Hall could almost house another production itself. How in the world did they tell you that without laughing?

Mine too, CATS, mine too.
But really, why wouldn't they have a lottery? It's a little frustrating...I live (my mom does, atleast) pretty to the music hall, so I could have tried the lottery a lot..

Actually, rentaholic, about 1500 more, but who is counting?
And I do think its absurd. The woman on the phone told me that they(the producers) did not feel that there was ample room for the numbers of people they were expecting, and trying to cram them all into the lobby would be a a fire hazard. I was planning on trying lotto a few times, but thats not going to happen. Thank God one of my friends was willing to sell me an extra seat for $25.

Sorry--no, I didn't.
1) My friends' mom was picking us up--and she didn't want to stay for pictures..so...that didn't work out
2) I have no idea where the stagedoor is...haha, but I plan on going by tomorrow night after the show (hopefully finding it first) and meeting the stars then. Would you all say that's cheap?

No, Parks, not cheap...just bring your playbill from tonight if you kept it so you don't feel like a complete ass :) LOL
Glad you liked it, I think? Review maybe...would be nice.

Hi Bret,
I think someone at the box office misspoke about the Wicket lottery. When I covered press night, there were plenty of people in those green "I WON THE WICKED LOTTERY" buttons. I just reached out to the marketing team, and they confirmed that they are holding the drawing before every show. Check out the Dallas Summer Musicals Facebook page for details.
Let us know your thoughts when you see the show!

Lizzie, thanks for pointing that out. When antonijan commented on the post a few days ago, I didn't read the original post date. Next time, I'll finish my coffee before commenting! :)
