Nah.... I just don't have a sense of humor. Mr. Grant can testify that!!

Mom - you're a mother - of COURSE you have a sense of humor. Otherwise you'ld be in prison
They didn't moon the audience, at least not intentionally. But there are more than a few seats in every auditorium that make it possible to see into the wings and as the people involved wouldn't be able to judge it, they could very well have mooned some of the audience. Just saying.
Ahhh thanks sweetie. These kids I just don't know.
oh poo, everyone does stupid things when you're on a cast- if that article didn't get printed then no one here would know about it so i don't see a problem with it.
I just woke up, read all this... and still have one thing to say.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*ahem*
HA!
I do see the humor, but outweighing it, I see unprofessionalism.
Furthermore, I don't understand how 3 pages could be created over 4 ass cheeks. Wow...
Wicked Must Die!
oh my god...if I had a sense of humor, I would be laughing my ass off over your comment NYC!!!
That was great!
3 pages = 4 ass cheeks?
...Sounds like we need another page.

I can't say I'm wild about this kind of behavior, but it isn't exactly surprising. I've heard of worse (or better, depending on your point of view) things happening in professional productions before.

I don't think its unprofessional. Who says you have to take things so seriously? Its not like Wicked some hardcore drama where Eden was delivering a very tough song or monologue. Its just Wicked. I'm sure if you guys were in the cast you'd think it was funny too. Its just one of those practical jokes that the ppl doing it find it hilarious. I'm sure we've all done those sort of things.
PS
Best12Bars...I think my comments makes it 4 pages...
I'm kinda indifferent to it..and I don't see why everyone is getting so hyped up about it. Maybe their jealous b/c THEY wish they could be friends w/ Eden Espinosa. Besides, she probably thought it was sweet...and she probably cracked up when she got offstage
I also know of "way worse" things that have been done backstage. Some of them are hilarious, some aren't. That's actually a matter of opinion. So is the fine-line definition of what is professional and unprofessional.
I just wanted to point out to everyone the career risk involved in doing a prank like that. ...Everything from totally getting away with it scott-free, to losing your job and having a producer never want to hire you gain.
S'all I'm sayin'.
Are we at 4 pages yet?

oh COME ON, if you're not going to see what goes on backstage, what does it matter? I'm there to have fun, and see other people having fun too, including the cast. Professionalism is for the financial district, keep the fun on the stage!
ahhhhhhhh HAHAHA...
I think it's funny. If comedy is unprofessional in the theatre (no matter what the venue is and whether its on stage or not) then lets just all quit and find jobs at burger king.
Alls I'm saying is "no harm done"
why are there no pictures of the mooning? that's the only thing that would make this interesting...

It's unprofessional if they didn't like her, she was offended, and it affected the performance. I get the impression that they were joking around with her and as a professional, she was able to not break character. Calling them unprofessional is a bit premature. I work at a top corporate law firm, and let me tell you, professionalism is in the eye of the beholder. Are film actors who deliberately play jokes on one another during the filming of a scene any less professional? They do the same type of stuff. While stage performers cannot get a second shot at the scene, it doesn't make the film actors any more professional doing the same crap. Everyone would agree that the outtakes are funny. Eden was professional. She didn't crack. There is nothing unprofessional about what happened.

wow guys, you have to lighten up! I think that that's hillarious.

I'm getting a huge kick out of all these 'lighten up' comments and so forth. ALL I said was that it didn't work FOR ME, and have given some reasons for that. Now, all of a sudden, I have no sense of humor and am dragging down the experience of anyone performing in theatre.
Give me a break. I don't think it's professional, and I never will. I wouldn't engage in behavior such as that, and would prefer it if those I worked alongside didn't either. So what?
I'm not advocating hunting these people down, or challenging the production staff or anything else. In fact, I even said in one post that I would simply walk away if it happened around me.
I just didn't agree with the choice made - that's all. No drama here, just an opinion. I think it's interesting how some people just hear that somethings not approved of by someone else and the defensive weaponry starts to fly all over the place.
I suggest some of YOU take a pill, relax and enjoy your vision of what's funny and what's not. It's really OK for you to do that without everyone's overt approval.
here, here!

lighten up, guys! well, i have a sense of humor and find that HYSTERICAL! i would never be able to keep a straight face
...which is why it wouldn't be so funny when you're trying to sing "For Good."
well, whether it was a joke or a real, true, goodbye, MAJOR props to her for keeping a straight face!
I'm sorry, but i'm not saying that your fellow actors shouldn't be supportive, but I mean, for the people in the audience, that must have been pretty shocking...i find it hard to believe that all the audience members who saw it were young teens who found it hysterical...Anyway, I don't see why they couldnt have been classy about it...I mean, actors aren't supposed to be watching in the wings just for the heck of it...that's unprofessional..but for the last show for a star, i think its very nice....
I don't remember the company members for GYPSY mooning Bernadette as she did her last "Rose's Turn"....they were all watching from the wings....some crying, some just wowed (seeing it for the first time)...
Professionalism isn't just in the "financial district", thats just **** talk, Ulla
