Wicked is Wicked!

Finally I've found somewhere where people have actually heard of Wicked! Being from England no-one over here has heard of it! My friend and I have both got the original cast recording after hearing a few songs on a radio show and absolutely love the music.

Having only heard the music and not seen the show I'd love for you guys to tell me what the show is actually like!

I'm over halfway through reading the book but it seems to be quite a bit different from the story as it comes across on the soundtrack.

I'm now praying that they decide to move it from Broadway to the West End cos I can't afford to come to New York to see it!

It was my first Broadway show. I loved it. I got to see Idina Menzel and Megan Hilty in the top spots. It was magical. Idina was fantastic and I got to se her in her final weeks. I have to tell you that Megan was fantastic and was really funny during "Popular". Idina and Megan had great chemistry on the stage and really made the audience connected. "Defying Gravity" was unbelieveable and "No Good Deed" sent chills down my spine. I was captivated. "For Good" had me in tears and the end was fantastic. Glad I could help. BTW, be careful about "Wicked" on these boards. People get nasty. Just be careful.

I note what you say about Wicked on here. I've noticed it seems to have more people who don't like it than do. Each to their own I say, it wouldn't do if we all liked the same thing - life would be so boring!

And The Block absolutely stunning as Elphaba. Why oh why didn't she come to Broadway?

Sometimes, I felt that Idina looked better green then she did in her normal skin. Sometimes...



But now I am jus posting for the sake of seeing my icon over and over again...

Well Stephanie J. Block is playing Elphaba and tour so I can;t wait to see her. As for who looks good in green I think Idina takes the cake. SJB pulls it off well too. Shoshana is ok, and never really liked how it looked on Eden.

BTW Wicked is awesome.... lol!
