But this board is the ultimate source for freedom of speech, so BBS speak out loud, but sometimes it is wise to stay silent, for you own benefit. A horrible review deserves a proper follow up.

I saw the first preview. Enjoyed it, but it is not a show I would rush back to see a second time. Great cast, excellent production values. Best orchestra and sound design I have heard in the Canon theatre in a long time. But I think I got all it had to say in that one viewing and from the OCR which is well produced (EXCEPT they did not put a synopsis in the booklet. ALL cast albums should have a synopsis. It ought to be a law!)
But I am curious it Toronto has developed "Wicked-heads" the same as New York?
How many times have you seen the show?
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I've seen it twice (as has Akiva - Link Larkin Wanabe). We bought tickets in advance for one show. Tried lottery twice and won once. So we've seen both Kristy and Stephanie. We're going to be trying lottery again this week. Fingers crossed!

EDIT: Sorry, I should have been clearer. I DID NOT win the lottery yesterday. And neither did my friend today.

I was at that lottery and didn't win...there were soooo many people there. I have seen the show in Toronto 3 times myself (with tix I had previously purchased, not through lottery), and heard some people saying it was their fifth or sixth times. I'm going to keep trying for the lottery cause I want to see it at least once more before it leaves in 2 weeks.

Millie - Based on the description of the character of Fiyero in the book, he is a person of color, black, African American whichever term you choose! For me, it would have been nice if they had cast a Black actor in the part. The book's theme was pretty much about differences and Elphaba not understanding why there was prejudice against those who are different. For me the only representation of difference in the show was Dr. Dillamond. I did enjoy the show but it would have been nice to see a black actor create the role of Fiyero on stage. I am glad that they are doing it for the tour.

Sabre, I am assuming then that you have seen Leo Butz in the role.
