This is very exciting casting! Helene Yorke is a star. She just closed the GREASE revival as Marty. Crazy voice and most of all, that girl can act her boots off. Maybe my favorite Umich grad.

Im not a fan of Marcie...
I've never seen the show, so I was excited its coming near me, so I can atleast see it and then form an opinion, but I looked her up, and I'm just not feeling it at all

I don't really like Marcie either. I was hoping Caissie Levy would reappear. I prefer new cast members, but I think Caissie did a phenomenal job in LA and left too abruptly.
Eh. We'll see. I don't think Marcie will compare to Donna Vivino on the first national though though..

That is why she left.

She tore up her throat & caused nodes on her vocal cords. Which is a perfect example why every understudy shouldn't get promoted.

If this is true then it is a perfect example of her talent, considering she tore her throat and managed to tear apart the role. I think she fit character perfectly, and didn't mimic the women she was standing in for either..
On her facebook page she kept hinting how miserable she was in LA. I think there was more to her leave than just her health..considering she did Wicked Day in San Fransisco afterwards, and has had a few gigs recently? She still sounds awesome.
SHE NEEDS TO BE ON BROADWAY.

I hadn't heard Helene Yorke's soprano range. Wouldn't have thought of her for Glinda, but I can totally see it working. I'm stoked for Kristine. I knew her back when I was in HS.

Just to chime in -
Cassie injured the voice in 2004. She came back from it, but it still acts up and comes back on occasion.

I've head rumors that Cassie will star in a Toronto sit-down if it ever comes to fruition.

I believe the long-term plan was to move the new S.F. production to Toronto after a couple of years.

Yeah, first 2012 was the planned year, but I've been hearing 2010 thrown around recently.

"The majority of the Chicago ensemble is continuing with the tour."
I think you mean "joining" the tour.
