Will Call at Studio 54 question
#1Will Call at Studio 54 question
Posted: 1/1/07 at 6:54pmHey guys, I just have a quick question. I just bought tickets using my mother's credit card for a performance of the Apple Tree, but she isn't going. Since you have no choice but to leave online purchases at will call, my question is will it be an issue if she is not the one to pick them up? I know that usually the card holder has to present, but also they can leave the tickets in someone else's name. Does anyone know how this works? Thanks a lot.

Posted: 1/1/07 at 6:57pmI've always just said the last name and given the credit card, and they've given me the tickets.

Ouch, hopefully that doesn't screw you. Here's the customer service number just in case.
Roundabout Theatre Ticket Services: 212-719-1300
Your mom might have to call that number, recite her credit card number, and tell them she's authorizing you to pick them up.

Posted: 1/1/07 at 7:01pmNo. When I saw Apple Tree I got there early to wait for Will Call and it went VERY fast. I was on line for less than 3 mins. They just asked for a name and handed you the tickets, didnt check any type of ID at all. Also if you have the same last name I doubt there would be a problem if you had some type of ID. But I can assure you that when I was there they did not check any type of ID.

Posted: 1/1/07 at 7:12pmUsually if you tell any box office attendant that it was purchased with a parent's card and give them their name and show them ID so they see you have the same last name, they're understanding and give you your ticket.

If you order them via TeleCharge (either online or telephone), you have the option to have the tickets left at Will Call under ANY name you want. They just state that the person picking-up the tickets needs to have proper I.D. I've paid for tickets tons of times and left them at Will Call for whoever I'm giving them to and there hasn't been any problem. I always give my friends the Confirmation Number, just in case, though.

Posted: 1/1/07 at 7:44pmI've never had a problem getting tickets with my parents card, but just to be safe, the best thing to do is bring the card with you.

BrodyFosse123, APPLE TREE tickets are sold through Roundabout's website, not through Telecharge.
But I agree with what's been said above. They're not going to ask for any form of ID. They're just going to hand you the tickets.

Posted: 1/1/07 at 10:21pmI might as well take this opportunity to ask about the last row of the mezzanine. How is it? Should I bring a kleenex in case my nose starts bleeding?

Posted: 1/1/07 at 10:24pmNo. its a large theatre but your not far from the stage. However you will be uncomfortable in the tiny hard seats with NO legroom.

Posted: 1/1/07 at 10:37pmI sat three rows from the top a few nights ago. The seats are fine.

I gave them my ID when I picked up tickets for a same-day performance. When I asked to pick up tickets for future shows, they needed my credit card I purchased the tix with. They swipe the card and look it up in the computer and then print them out.
But yeah, I'd definitely call ahead to make sure you can transfer them to another name.
