Chase announced it on his Twitter several weeks ago. His television series Time After Time is going into production.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I wish Eric taking over was permanent. He's perfect in the role.

Eric is fantastic in the role, he is just as good as Borle or Chase are in the role.  I don't understand why they don't allow him to be the full time W. Shakespeare for the rest of the run.   Of course they'd have to bump him up to a principal status, but they could just do that and bring someone else on for his track in the ensemble.  What's the big deal, the show is closing, we don't need another big star for the last several months, Eric's fantastic, the show's fantastic, sorry to see this one go away, nothing seems to be able to survive on broadway nowadays...

I heard Adam Pascal is going to take over the role for the last month and do the tour. Strange casting. I don't find comedy to be his strong suit.

I saw Borle back in June and honestly can't imagine anyone else in that role.  Having said that, I assume Chase was well received.  And that would be neat to see Adam Pascal in it (well, not that I'll be in NY before it closes but hypothetically).  If the role worked with Chase, then Pascal could do it too.

Agree on Eric-have seen him in the role and thought he was excellent and don't understand why they wouldn't let him finish the run.  I am just mad at myself-had a chance to see it with Chase a couple weeks ago, and thought I would catch him my next trip before it closed

Of course, I will go back on my next trip anyway-just annoyed at my timing.

Will Chase is just fantastic.

First saw him in the pre Broadway of High Fidelity and was blown away.  Have been routing from the sidelines ever since

Wish he was touring with the show - although looking forward to Pascal.

Borle and Chase both very funny and effective but somewhat different in the role: Borle more like a comic Mick Jagger; Chase more in the glam-rock sphere.  The beauty of the writing and directing is what makes that role inhabitable by a slew of fine performers.
