I believe someone on here said that the language that was being used was that Grey House was "an open run that expects to conclude around Labor Day."

Grey House is open and tickets on sale through Labor Day. No word on extension or closing.

I think those who are so sure that SLIH will make it to January will end up being surprised. I know it's doing over $1mil a week right now but I'm gonna guess the advance won't look pretty come end of summer. I think it has a better chance of holding on than NYNY but I think it's FAR from assured.

My current predictions are:

End of Aug/Early Sep: NYNY, Grey House

End of Sep/Early Oct: SLIH, Hadestown

Jan: Kimberly, A Beautiful Noise, OUAOMT, maybe Sweeney (if no Groban replacement)

I'm torn on Shucked and Book of Mormon but I lean towards thinking both will still be around next Spring. I could see a world where Six closes in January too. I think everything else without an announced date will make it through next winter.

I think it's starting to look a bit softer in the grosses so I could see it being a surprise closing. I am not predicting it. I'm just saying it wouldn't shock me

Unfortunately I actually think you might be right. If it continues the way it is, we could be looking at a December/January closing for Six With so many shows closing - why so few opening announcements

I find it hard to believe Six would be closing in the next year unless something drastic happens.  It's still making close to a million in grosses and I don't think it would be a very expensive show to run.  I suppose it could close if the theater kicks it out in favor of bringing in a different show, but otherwise I think it'll probably stay above the 700k mark for a good amount of time

I imagine SIX could be making half of what it's currently making and still be turning a profit. Especially now that it's recouped, I don't think they'll have any reason to shut it down unless it really drops off.

This is true actually...and it's doing amazingly well on the road-selling out a lot of their venues!

Idk why people think Hadestown is closing. It’s selling to standing room only and making a profit. It’s not going anywhere unless Eva and Reeve leave.

I dont think either of them are pull that you're suggesting.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I’m not saying they’re bringing in money because they’re not. I’m saying Hadestown won’t close before they leave. They’ll be with the show until the end. So whenever they do leave, Hadestown closes.

But which happens first? They leave? Or the show closes? Because it certainly is feeling like the show will close BECAUSE they won't leave... I personally don't care for Reeve or Eva in the roles and won't go back unless I'm seeing an U/S

I… don’t know what happens first? But I’m with you. I won’t go back until there’s an Orpheus understudy. Eva I’m fine with. I can’t take anymore Reeve.
