Well obviously YOU wouldn’t know who Jesse is. You only care about former Elphabas...

Agreed about the Ford’s Theatre production - Euan Morton was great! I’ve often thought about a revival with Carmen Cusack and Bryce Pinkham.

Aren't YOU the one usually posting about former Elphaba's??? Also you don't even know me.

Sorry if I don't know who this guy is. I don't sit around all day and night watching yt videos and looking up whom people are.

^^^ "...who people are."

Don't use whom (most people don't) unless you know how to use it correctly.

Please.

(Just so I don't seem a total bitch, here's the problem in your construction: "who people are" is a clause and while "who" may be the object of "looking up", it is also the subject of the phrase "who people are". The latter takes precedence. Easy and common mistake.)

What makes you think Eisenberg (or anyof these people)would be good for the role, then?

Thinking more, I actually wonder if Eisenberg is likeable enough to pull it off (box office aside). It's such tricky, dark material, andthe show really only works if the audience believesthatLeo is innocent. In 2018, it's especially tough.

If anything, it feels like a show for 2nd Stage. I imagine LCT is still a little scarred from the experience of the original, and it doesn't seem commercial enough for the other Broadway non-profits.

I did caveat 'if he could sing it'.  Based on seeing pictures of the original cast, and with awareness of Eisenberg's very strong acting ability and the fact that he will not have to stretch to play a Jewish man, I don't think there is much of a leap in concluding that he would be good if he could sing the role.

Perhaps we can never get a parade revival, but I sure think this kind of piece would work cinematically and it sure would be great Oscar bait.

I've felt forever the only way to get a Parade Broadway revival is to have an Oscar winning Parade film adaptation get greenlit.

It could always come back smaller at Roundabout for limited run or something.

I just think no Broadway Producer is gonna take a risk with that premise again.

Interestingly enough, a lot of the books written about the case throw quite a bit more doubt on his innocence than the musical does. And I’m not talking about the hatchet job that Mary Phagan Kean wrote, either.

I could see this happening. Enough of a show so that Broadway fans can get their fix (bonus if someone like Jake Gyllenhaal is in it to sell tickets to the unsuspecting general public), but no expectations of trying to stay open for a long run.

I mean, if they'll bring back Robber Bridegroom, I could see them bringing back Parade.
