Even though it is a long shot who would you feel?
Personally i would be happy because Evans is brilliant in Sunday. The only reason he is a long shot is because both Miranda and Szot gave superb performances. However still think he should be a frontrunner.
Absolutely. I saw Sunday yesterday and I'd be fine with him winning.
He's the ONLY one that I would be okay with beating Miranda.
Absolutely.

HELL YES I would be okay with that!
I'm rooting for both Evans and Russell. I have hope!
Yes. I want him to win...but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.
Okay? I'd be JUMPING FOR JOY!
It's not a long shot at all.
Szot appears to be the "front runner" but he's not the clear choice. And Lin-Manuel does NOT deserve Best Actor.
Evans was absolutely brilliant. I'm obsessed with his performance. It's genius.
It's a very good year for lead actors. ^_^ I was ecstatic when Evans took the Olivier, and I'd be just as pleased should the underdog triumph and he won the Tony as well.
Why does he NOT deserve best actor?

My question now is, dear BWW posters, branching off from the original post:
Would you be okay with Jenna Russell winning? (Would Patti?)
I mean, I love love love Patti but I really do want Jenna to win.
No.
Patti must win so the entire Tony telecast can be LUPWNED.
TDH, I love ya, but seriouisly...
It's getting 'tired'.
Yes yes yes to Jenna. I mean. I've only seen her and Patti out of the nominated actresses...and Patti was fabulous and it'd be great if she won. I'm just obsessed with the entire production of Sunday right now and am completely bias, but I'd be so so happy if Daniel and Jenna won.
Limelight.
There's nothing to get tired of. It's not some joke that was "fresh and funny" for the first 2 days.
It's a part of the board. I'm not trying to be funny.
Don't think Evans will win (Szot has everyone under his spell I believe), but I would be totally fine with him winning. He is wonderful in Sunday.

Why is Szot the front runner?
he can sing but he can't act. he was extremely bland and boring, when I saw him. and no facial expressions either.
TooDarnHot- I totally agree with you! you nailed it. Szot can definitely sing...act.... a ?
I think I even mentioned that in my 10/10 Report on South Pacific. finally someone agrees with me!
also 'em metioned in another thread the George's character in Sunday is a bit more complex...and that's really a challenge for an actor to play that part and singing Sondheim's score is really hard, specially in Sunday...
and may I add that he played two characters too.... George Seurat and his great grandson George in Act 2.

I would love it if Daniel Evans won! He would have my vote, actually.
Sadly, he's the underdog. It's frustrating because his performance is just as worthy as those of the leaders in this category, but "Sunday" can't seem to compete with the buzz behind ITH and South Pacific, so the leading actors of those shows are getting the attention.
IN THE HEIGHTS is getting some "buzz", but is Lin-Manuel getting any "buzz" as an actor?
I mean. compared to Szot and especially Evans (in love!), he's weak. He's really a songwriter/rapper. Not an actor. Same goes for Stew (nice singing - lame acting)
Damn you, South Pacific!
Actually, I'm sure I'd like the show. I'll see it as soon as the first discount pops up in 4 years...
I would be totes fine with Evans winning. I thought his performance was very moving.
I didn't like his performance, but I didn't see any of the other nominees.
I would LOVE for Daniel Evans to win. not only was he wonderful in Sunday, he is completely adorable. I think he'd just give the sweetest acceptance speech.
I'd be perfectly fine with Evans winning. I thought he was terrific.
