So, Rose Byrne is leaving the show this Sunday. While I wanted to see the show and like other cast members in it, I'm wondering if you guys think I should try really hard to catch it this weekend or if it should be fine and still enjoyable without her. I know there's a pre-existing thread on this show, but I can't find it and would like a nice amount of opinions just on this anyway. Thank you

Really depends on how big a fan you are and your feeling towards original casts. If that doesn't matter to you then I would say wait. Although she is good in the show, her role is not a standout as opposed to others in the show.

Rose is good in the show, but this show is a sum of all parts and the rest of the cast creates the hilarity. So if you can, go and catch it with Rose, but if you don't see her, you will still have a fabulous time.

How difficult will it be for you to see it? It is always on tkts, so ticket availability isn't an issue.

But I thoroughly concur with the above statements.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Just got out of tonight's show. Byrne is very good, but doesn't have the stage presence of the other more seasoned stage actors. Her replacement may face the same challenge. I agree that the ensemble is super strong and well worth a visit Sadly, Ashley was out tonight. Pippa Peartree did a good job but I kept thinking how Ashley would have delivered the lines. Anyone care to comment on what I missed?

I saw Ashley last week. She was funny, but it's such a small role. Only appears in Act 3. I don't think she stood out. Annaleigh Ashford, Johanna Day and Will Brill were my favourites.

Rose Byrne is very good in the show, but if you miss her it's not like you missed Audra in Lady Day. Like Javi said above Ashford, Brill, and Day were some of my favorites along with the addition of Nielsen and Halston. I think Anna will be good in it too!
