I need a bit of a hand here. My sister is looking for a monologue from YAGMCB. She's not really particular about which one, because the audition isn't for another month or so, but she's prefer Sally. Here in the midwest, we're not exactly sure what we're looking for, and we don't have a store that could be of great help to us. If anyone knows of a way to get the script, or of a book that has some monologues from that show, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch, folks!
I think the coathanger one may be done to death!

EVERY monologue from YAGMCB has been done to death.
I realize YAGMCB monologues have been done to death. She's a senior in high school, and her drama teacher has decided that the "If I Were Queen" monologue would be good for her. Does anyone know of a place to get this monologue. Sorry the important info is so late coming. She just told me this morning...
Thanks for your help thus far!

I'm really sorry I can't help you but the libretto I have for YAGMCB is at home, and I'm at school. Since your sister is a senior and she needs this for an audition a month from now, I'm guessing it's for a college audition? Actually, I'm hoping it's not because seriously, monologues from YAGMCB should never be used for college auditions. Ever. If this is the advice her drama teacher gave her, then she needs to seek other advice. Tell her to think of every play she's ever seen or read or been in. There must be a role that she enjoyed and could draw from. Or even if there's a playwright that she loves, she could read some of his/her plays and find a good monologue. (I'm going to continue to assume this is for a college audition. If it's not, then disregard) :) If you'd like to email me, or have her email me, I'd be happy to give her some college audition advice. I went through it two years ago. erinell@hotmail.com
the whole show has been done in monologue form so much that its ridiculous. I think we're all a little but guilty when it comes to this though.

I have a copy of the book from when I did the show here in Connecticut, so I have the monologues. BUT!! I would advise to stay away from YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. All of the monologues from the show are overused. But there are plenty of other monologues in existence for younger females out there! If you insist on having one from YAGMCB, let me know and I'll get it to you.
"if I were a queen" isn't a monologue its a scene
have her do the Charlie Brown monologue in the lunchroom

"Queen" can be slightly modified into a monologue... Linus' lines aren't necessary to facilitate the plot. And neither are Lucy's! HA!
