Does it HAVE to be Broadway?

Anything from Sunset Boulevard....

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

A red dress. Lots of brocade and sequins. Red plumes.

You know what I'm talking about.

(Pimpernel's costumes were done by: Jane Greenwood, who has done the past two Cat revivals & Thurgood this year!)

I love the Pimpernel's stuff! No wonder why this show cost so much, but atleast when it got boring you had something to look at, and one of the few shows where I actually commented on the costumes a lot! (It looks like Ursula's costume was based off of that first one re: Your Favorite Costumes in a Show!)

and for that matter, most of the costumes in WICKED.

I also love THE PIRATE QUEEN costumes, the BKLYN costumes, the EVITA costumes, and the LA CAGE costumes. And PIAZZA.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
