All four the shows nominated for Best Musical, basically. (Though I probably won't end up getting Spamalot.)

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living
piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character
and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and
incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness.
Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish
it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a
rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the
real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get
along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small
unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings.
Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end.
But end it does. Another part of you vanishes.
That's show business."-Anonymous

all I need is the new Sweet Charity CD and I'm all caught up for the past couple of years and then some. (I actually bought the CD for Contact... enough said.) I also noticed today that I have a CD for every musical currently playing on Broadway which made me a little worried for my sanity. I even have the original Broadway cast recordings of Charity and La Cage... oh, my... I've come to terms with the fact that there will not be a revival CD for La Cage, but for those of you who enjoyed the revival and do not have the OBC you really should look into it. George Hearn's performance is awesome. I'm quite content with the original performances.

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...
What did she realize, Kitten?
That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs.
What's wrong with that?
Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had...
Where?
On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

The only CD that are out now that I want is La Cage (because, like CATS, I want to collect the shows that are in this season... and since the revival doesnt have a CR, I'll go with OBC). I'm holding out hope for a Chitty CR...
